Two men charged with murder of Guilderland High School graduate in Arizona

Guilderland woman believed dead, 2 charged

Two charged with the murder of a Guilderland High School graduate who went missing.

Two men have been charged with murder in connection with the March disappearance in Arizona of a woman with Capital Region ties.

Cavette Richards, 36, and William DalCerro, 58, are accused of killing Shayna Feinman, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.

Richards is the boyfriend of Feinman, a Guilderland High School graduate who moved out west a few years ago. She had not been seen since March 8. A neighbor was concerned about her whereabouts after Feinman did not pick up her dog that the neighbor was watching, police said.

The neighbor found Feinman’s vehicle with her belongings, including her wallet and identification, not far from the property where Feinman and her boyfriend were staying, police said.

Feinman’s sister, Kara, told NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy previously that she began contacting Shayna’s friends, when she heard two different versions of her disappearance. In one version, according to Kara, Feinman went into the woods on her own after a disagreement with somebody. Another version had her being chased into the woods.

An investigation determined that there was enough evidence to arrest Richards and DalCerro. They are also being charged with concealment of a dead body and conspiracy.

Feinman’s body has not been located. Anyone who has information or who sees something suspicious in the desert or forests in west-central California across through Arizona is asked to contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at 928-771-3260 or anonymously at yavapaisw.com.
