Unhealthy air could be returning to Capital Region
There may be another air quality advisory for the Capital Region this Thursday, according to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
This is once again due to the wildfires in Canada.
More than 2,700 wildfires have burned so far this year in Canada, scorching more than 14 million acres of land.
New York state even sent some help up to Canada to fight the wildfires – which caused some of the state’s worst air quality in decades.
Another update is expected on Wednesday morning once the DEC knows for certain about the impacts on our area.
