Union head: HVCC should review policies in wake of president’s firing
The head of the faculty union said Hudson Valley Community College should review its policies in the wake of the firing of the president after a sexual harassment complaint.
The college parted ways with Roger Ramsammy on Tuesday evening after the investigation of a sexual harassment claim made against him.
Union President Robert Whitaker said the college needs to look at how harassment is reported.
“We were told that there is a clear policy and clear procedure. But I think any policy or procedure that allow the person who’s accused to remain on campus after a complaint has been received, we have serious questions about that. I mean that seems wrong,” he said.
