United Airlines dropping direct flights from Albany to Newark in March

United Airlines is ending direct non-stop flights from Albany to Newark at the end of March.

The airline confirmed that the last day of direct nonstop flights from Albany International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport is March 29. Passengers would have to connect through a different airport, according to a company spokesman.

United will continue to have service from Albany to Chicago and Washington Dulles Airport.
