Vermont one step closer to legalizing sports betting

Vermont is on the verge of becoming the next state to legalize sports betting.

This comes after lawmakers signed off on a sports betting bill on Tuesday. The bill passed the House after the Senate agreed to several changes last week.

It now heads to Gov. Phil Scott, who is expected to sign it into law.
