Vermont renews firearm storage program

Vermont residents who need guns out of their homes now have access to a renewed program that provides safe storage at sites across the state.
Right now, gun owners don’t need a court order to remove weapons from a home, but police say law enforcement agencies typically only help if there is.
Eight federally licensed firearms dealers across Vermont say they’ll help store the weapons.
