The fundraiser was planned before Harris became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, after President Joe Biden dropped out last week.
Pittsfield mayor: Harris’ visit ‘phenomenal day’ for city
Pittsfield Mayor Peter Marchetti said Vice President Kamala Harris' visit on Saturday put his city on the map.
Singer James Taylor and violinist Yo-Yo Ma also performed aside other big names who spoke.
Security was obviously very tight in the area, with both supporters and protesters outside. The road in front of the theater, South Street, was shut down. Members of law enforcement were stationed every few feet. City dump trucks were used as barriers.
