A church in Albany is working to get guns off our streets.

The Victory Church on Quail Street hosted a gun buyback event today.

The pastor offered $100 and $200 Visa cards for all ghost guns and non-registered handguns that were turned in.

The organizers say they are doing this to try to curb violence in Albany.

We are told there was even an act of violence right outside the church just before the event happened.
