A vigil with outpouring of love for Kaylin Gillis was held at Fort Hardy Park in Schuylerville on Thursday evening. About 100 people were there.
Gillis’ parents and boyfriend all attended the vigil, which was open to the community. NewsChannel 13 wanted to give them as much space as possible, so they could grieve.
The family wore matching shirts. We saw the mom as she was being escorted in. It was a heartbreaking scene as she cried, often times calling on her baby.

There was a lot of hugging and consoling, a very touching ceremony.
Kaylin’s picture was front and center. We saw her during happier times, pictured with her dogs.
Everyone in attendance stood in solidarity with candles in hand, reflecting on what Kaylin meant to them all.
