Voluntary recall on Lactaid milk in 27 states for possible trace amounts of almond

Voluntary milk recall on Lactaid

If you drink Lactaid milk, a recall has been issued in 27 states, including New York.

HP Hood, the company that makes the lactose-free milk, issued the voluntary recall because it may contain trace amounts of almond.

The FDA says people who are allergic to almonds run the risk of having a life-threatening allergic reaction.

No illnesses have been reported so far.

The products involve 96-ounce containers of Lactaid that were shipped out from September 5 to 18 with expiration dates stretching into early December.

If you have one, the FDA says you can return it to the store for a full refund or exchange.
