Voorheesville man gets 14 years in prison on child rape charges

A Voorheesville man was sentenced on Thursday to 14 years in prison on a child rape charges.

William C. Maguire, 28, was arrested in January after police said he forcefully engaged in sexual contact with a girl under 15 years old.

Maguire pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court in July to first-degree attempted rape and first-degree attempted criminal sex act.

He also received 15 years of post-release supervision.
