Washington County supervisors working on update for broadband cell service

Washington County supervisors are working on broadband and cell phone coverage in the area.
Our news partners at The Post Star report, the county economic development office has issued a request for proposals to connect about 900 households with no or poor broadband access.

The Lake Champlain-Lake George regional planning commission also recently applied for a grant to update maps of cell phone coverage in Warren and Washington Counties.
The goal is to determine where new towers would be most efficient.

Kaylin Gillis’ death has put a national spotlight on issues with cell signal in Washington County.
