Watervliet mom to be sentenced for attempted murder of her baby

The Watervliet mother who pleaded guilty to trying to kill her 10-month-old son is back in custody, and will be sentenced on Tuesday.
Samantha Valentine was supposed to be sentenced last Friday, but she didn’t show.
Valentine was arrested in October of 2021 and charged with attempted murder, after police say she violently threw her child across the room several times over a period of four days.
The baby had bleeding in his brain and was treated at Albany Medical Center.
