Johnson is an African-American World War I hero from Albany, known for fighting off a raid of German soldiers to save the lives of his fellow Americans.
If you visit the Army website, there was a page about a fort being re-named after Henry Johnson. Now, it reads “page not found.” At the top it reads “archived historical content from culturally-focused Army websites is under review for compliance with executive policy … Content will be reposted after the review.”
Fort Johnson in Louisiana was renamed after Congress approved updating any military bases originally named after Confederate leaders.
A webpage on baseball legend Jackie Robinson went down temporarily last week.
