If you think you’ve seen more and more animals lately involved in unusual activity, you’re not imagining it.
This week alone, NewsChannel 13 has shown you video of a six-point buck jumping through the plate glass window, and thrashing around inside a Johnstown nursing home.
You’ve also seen two agitated animals in Clifton Park fighting for their “deer” life.
There was also of a deer that tried to leap through the fork of a tree, got stuck, and then sadly starved to death.
It’s actually not that unusual, explained Victoria Rasanen, a wildlife rehabilitator with the North Country Wild Care Organization, a non-profit group that strives to find the best solution for animals and humans to co-exist.
She says this is their fall rut season, and their hormones are running wild.
Learn more about what she says causes the strange behavior by watching the video of Dan Levy’s story.
