Albany to rename street in honor of longtime resident
The city of Albany is renaming Second Avenue and Grandview Terrace after Anne Pope.
The city of Albany is honoring a longtime resident who has been serving the community for more than four decades.
The city is renaming Second Avenue and Grandview Terrace after Anne Pope.
Pope is the former president of the Albany NAACP. She also served as the Northeast Regional Director.
Pope also worked with Siena College on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King Lecture Series.
The city will host an official naming ceremony on Friday, June 14, at 5 p.m.
