A local woman is preparing for her career thanks to a program in Albany.
Stacy Grandison is taking part in the adult practical nursing program at Capital Region BOCES.
The full-time course is offered at the Career and Technical Education Center on the Albany campus. It offers 1,100 hours of classroom, clinical study and practice.
The program also prepares students to take the National Council Licensure Examination and apply to become a New York State Licensed Practical Nurse.
Stacy is one of more than 100 students enrolled. She says she has great teachers, and has all of the additional support they need to be successful.
