Colon cancer survivor celebrates with fundraiser to help others

Keri Alonzo now works for the New York Oncology Hematology Cancer Foundation and she organized a big fundraiser this past weekend at Carson's Woodside Tavern in Malta.
She battled cancer and won, and now a well-known area singer has more to celebrate.
Keri Alonzo now works for the New York Oncology Hematology Cancer Foundation, and she organized a big fundraiser this past weekend at Carson’s Woodside Tavern in Malta.
Alonzo, who survived colon cancer, sang with her band Jukebox Rebellion. There were auctions, food and drinks. Two-hundred tickets were sold.
Alonzo told NewsChannel 13 that when everything is totaled, they will have raised $30,000 to help patients make ends meet and pay for necessities including groceries, gas and utility bills.
