Guilderland recognized as ‘Purple Heart Town’

Guilderland has been recognized as a “Purple Heart Town.”
The town held a ceremony on Friday. It featured remarks from Maj. Aristeas Tzovaras, a Purple Heart recipient who suffered a brain injury during an ambush in Afghanistan.
Signs will be placed at entrances to the town marking the designation.
