NewsChannel 13 and Kelly’s Angels, the charity that helps local kids who’ve lost a parent to cancer, were honored by the New York State Broadcasters Association for “Outstanding Public Service.”
NewsChannel 13 airs public service announcements promoting the charity’s fundraisers, including the Mother-Lovin’ 5k held on Mother’s Day, and the Summer-Lovin’ funfest held in Lake George.
Kelly’s Angels is an all-volunteer organization that brings smiles to kids and families who have lost a battle, or are currently battling life-threatening illness.
It was started by NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland in honor of his wife, Kelly, who passed away from cancer in 2007.
