A local lemonade stand is making a big difference.

Quinn and Vivianna Estrom, two young sisters ages 9 and 7 years old from Massachusetts, raised around $6,000 through a lemonade stand at their grandparents’ house in Loudonville.

The effort was in memory of their late grandmother, who died of ALS last year. It shattered the goal of $200 the girls had initially set.

The family presented a check of the proceeds to the Saint Peter’s ALS Regional Center in Albany.
