Saratoga Springs youth organizations bringing social action projects to life

Two youth centered organizations in Saratoga Springs are teaming up to empower kids to take real world action.

Youth Squared and Camp Stomping Ground are bringing a series of hands-on social action projects to life.
These projects will address food insecurity, mental health, sustainability and access to the arts.

The goal is to equip kids with the tools, confidence and support they need to make a real difference.

A community supply gathering day is set for Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 112 Spring St. in Saratoga Springs.

The community is invited to donate the following items:

  • Gardening materials: 4-inch plant containers, potting soil, veggie seeds or starters
  • Mental health & sensory items: New or gently used fidget toys, paper bags, markers, index cards
  • Art supplies: Markers, crayons, glue sticks, paper, yarn, stickers, glitter, brushes, and other creative materials
  • Sewing materials: Fabric scraps (minimum 12”x12”), thread.
