Scotia-Glenville school collects 700 pairs of socks for people in need

A community wide effort is being organized by a local school to help keep people warm this winter.
Glendaal Elementary School’s student council in the Scotia-Glenville Central School District organized a sock drive for the Schenectady City Mission.
The drive collected nearly 700 pairs of socks.
To get the word out about their cause, students lined the hallways with posters they made, visited classrooms, talked about the importance of giving and how something as simple as socks could make a big difference.
