Southwestern Medical Center earns “A” grade distinction

A special honor for the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.

The hospital just received an “A” rating and was given the distinction of most socially responsible by the Lown Institute in Vermont.

The Lown Institute is a nonpartisan health care think tank.
They have the Lown index for social responsibility which is the only annual ranking to fully integrate racial inclusivity, community investment and pay equity.
They evaluate more than 3,600 hospitals across the U.S. and uses more than 50 metrics to create the index.
