He inspired a region when he won a big race in honor of his dying mother. Now a young man from Stillwater knows where he’ll be running in college.

Everyone at the annual Mother-Lovin’ 5K in 2023 was rooting for Anthony Zazzaro, when he ran like the wind and won the race for his mother, Diane, who passed away just a couple days later.

Anthony won it again last year in memory of his mother.

Anthony will be running track and cross country at Binghamton University, according to his father. First, he’s back on Mother’s Day to defend his title at the Mother-Lovin’ 5K.
