International Women’s Day at Indian Ladder Farms
Indian Ladder Farms is celebrating International Women’s Day this week.
The cidery and brewery is working to highlight women Wednesday on International Women’s Day, with a special craft beer to highlight women in the beverage industry. The initiative is part of the Pink Boots Society, a national group that works to boost women in this field. Indian Ladder Farms is collaborating with other local brewing companies, Bound by Fate, Common Roots, Unified and Whitman.
Summer job fair in Warren County

Fighting hunger in Amsterdam
Hannaford and Grow Amsterdam are teaming up to fight hunger. The Hannaford at 115 Hannaford Plaza in Amsterdam selected the Grow Amsterdam non-profit to receive a $1 donation from every purchase of the Hannaford Fight Hunger reusable bag. Grow Amsterdam was founded in 2016. It helps people in the community grow their own food in Community Gardens.
Niskayuna student to play with Schenectady Symphony Orchestra
Congratulations to Eujeong Choi. The high school junior – who is 16 – has joined the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra for the concert this Saturday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at Proctors in Schenectady. She’ll play Shostakovich in a performance called “The Age of Nationalism.” Eujeong plays the cello, and says this opportunity is a dream come true.
