Walkout ceremony held for longtime Rensselaer County correctional officer

A longtime correctional officer in Rensselaer County is calling it a career.

Officer Diane Wojcik is retiring after more than 20 years of service.

She was recently honored at a walkout ceremony.

Wojcik has taken on many important roles and positions within the sheriff’s office over the years, deputies said.

She has made many lifelong friends throughout her career, and she was always there to help her fellow officers and supervisors.

Deputies wished Wojcik and her family well, long into her retirement.
