Albany County, city make big investment to expand mental health programs
Mental health programs are getting a big boost in Albany County.
The $1.8 million comes from both the city and the county. It will help people who need ongoing help, and those who are in an immediate crisis.
The funding will also expand mental health court programs for people in need.
There will also be more outreach to homeless people on the streets, and the Mercy House Shelter for the Homeless will also reopen.
