Hochul: Nearly 1 million New Yorkers getting state-administered Medicare help
Gov. Kathy Hochul said Monday that nearly one million New Yorkers are now enrolled in state-administered Medicare.
The program helps eligible older adults save an estimated average of $7,400 a year in health care costs.
With the Medicare open enrollment period starting Tuesday, Oct. 15, Hochul also encouraged more New Yorkers to learn about it.
Many older adults are eligible for this cost-saving measure.
