A small business in Ballston Spa is making a big difference among children struggling with food insecurity.

Betsy Seplowitz set out to do just that when she started Nourish, a gift shop featuring her original artwork alongside other artisan and fair-trade goods that inspire kindness, community and creativity.

Every item bought at Nourish helps fund meals for area kids in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.

“That has really created a deep community, and it provides a lot of purpose to Nourish and my work as well,” she said.
The business recently reached a major milestone.

“At the close of 2024, we were able to pass providing funding for over 300,000 meals,” she said.

Along with the shop in downtown Ballston Spa, Nourish products are available on the company’s website, which ships all over the country.
The store also regularly hosts art classes.
