A minority and woman owned dry cleaning and alterations business in Clifton Park is celebrating 25 years in business.

Sisters Alia Khan and Roxy Maqsood started their careers in banking, but the entrepreneurial urge got them both. They took the chance and opened Clifton Cleaners in Plaza 8 in 1999. Changes over the years mean far fewer suits and shirts need cleaning. So the fact that this business is still thriving is a testament to the hard work of the women, and their staff, who have been with them a long time.

The Capital Region Chamber cut a ribbon Nov. 13 to celebrate 25 years.
As the Chamber likes to say, “Don’t Hesitate, Stop at Exit 8.”
They are open six days a week, closed Sundays.
