GlobalFoundries apprenticeship program gives valuable paid experience
GlobalFoundries is celebrating some graduates.
Three people have successfully completed the GlobalFoundries Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship program at Fab 8 in Malta.
It’s the first registered apprenticeship of its kind in the U.S. semiconductor industry.
The program offers candidates a unique opportunity to develop semiconductor experience, while working in the field. It serves as a nationwide model for others to follow as the U.S. faces a critical shortage of qualified talent in this field.
The apprenticeship at GlobalFoundries is a full-time paid position and all training is at no cost to the apprentice.
