The brewing company is marking the 79th anniversary of the slater’s World War II commissioning with a beer.
The USS Slater summer ale was released last weekend.
Allied Brewing Company is in their second year of production, on the grounds of the Altamont Orchards.
The brewery focuses their labels on a historic event or icon from World War II, a period that they are proud to share with their patrons.
The USS Slater, the last destroyer escort afloat in America, is open to the public for its 26th season in Albany.
