There’s a new coffee shop opening this week in Voorheesville, designed with the cycling community in mind.
Blackbirds Bike Cafe is at 43 South Main Street. That’s right along the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail.
It will have an all-day menu, including pastries, coffee, sandwiches, soup and salads. They will also have healthy smoothies and acai bowls available.
The cafe is supported by Business for Good, so all the profits will be donated to high school sports, activities and programs in Voorheesville and other nearby communities.
The shop will be open every day but Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The grand opening of the cafe is this Wednesday, May 29. It will be followed by the opening of the adjacent Blackbirds Tavern later this year.
