Apple orchards are now open.
Did you know New York is the second-largest apple producing state in the country?
New York state averages 29.5 million bushels of production annually, and one local apple orchard is doing its part.
Since 1994, Saratoga Apple in Schuylerville has been growing apples sold direct to market. That’s a unique part of its business approach.
The orchard’s farm store is open seven days a week, year-round, offering fresh cider, homemade cider donuts, and a variety of other locally-sourced products.
With September in full swing, Saratoga Apple’s “Pick Your Own” season is officially up and running now through October.
