KJ’s Barbershop in Saratoga County recently celebrated its grand opening – marking a dream come true for owner Kris Jourdan.

Jourdan is a third-generation barber who recently left the corporate world to get back to his roots, doing what he loves.

“Genuinely, it’s just about quality over quantity. The quantity comes in time. We want to make sure we take our time and ask the right questions and show them how to style it – instead of going right to a barbershop and just getting a cut. I take pride in my job, and I love it and I just like to have that creative mind,” he said.

KJ’s Barbershop aims to offer a family-friendly atmosphere. Jourdan also wants to help fellow barbers succeed and achieve their goals.

“The goal is to have the barbers that come in, to educate them more. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars of courses and want to be able to utilize the TV in the back. We have classes that I want to be able to help others move on, not just stay in here.

Customers can book an appointment online or by calling the barbershop.
