Saratoga Springs vision care business has new home
A vision center in Saratoga Springs has moved to a new spot.
Family Vision Care Center, a practice that has been operating in Saratoga Springs for more than 100 years, is now at 60 Carpenter Lane.
Owner and optician Susan Halstead is excited about the local practice’s new home.
“This is actually our fourth location here at 6B Carpenter Lane – mainly because we thought that we had outgrown the space on Lake. This space allows us to add a second full-time position. We have a much larger optical dispensary so we’re able to carry more frames,” she said.
The new site has increased parking for visitors too, and Halstead, who has owned Family Vision Care Center for nearly 30 years, decided on this relocation with the future of the practice in mind.
“I moved it here to allow it to continue to grow. Eventually I will be exiting the practice and I think this space will allow a potential future purchaser to come on board, take over the practice and continue to grow it,” she said.
