SCHENECTADY – La Gioia Italian Deli in Schenectady will soon open its doors again after closing in June.
Laura Marino will be running the show.
She is the daughter and niece of the owners who originally opened the business back in 1989.
The deli will re-open at the same location on Van Vranken Avenue.
Laura says she’s realized how much she loves being a part of the deli.
She has a simple promise: the traditional styles of pasta, meatballs, bracciole, sauce, sausage will remain a staple.
Marino says the re-opening date depends on the delivery of new equipment, inventory and imported goods.
She hopes to open by the end of October.
