A specialty pasta shop is now up and running in Coxsackie.

Via Ravioli is run by the husband-and-wife team Steve Gonzalez and Kate Galassi. 

Steve was a pasta maker at Sfoglini Pasta, which moved from Brooklyn to Coxsackie a few years ago. Now he has his own shop. 

The duo bought the old auto garage on Route 9W in the fall, spent five months fixing it up and adding a production kitchen. They opened earlier this month.

The pasta is made fresh in house every morning.

Varieties include taglioni, fettuccine and pappardelle, and of course two kinds of ravioli.

You can also find sauces, freshly grated cheese and an Italian pantry.

Via Ravioli also puts together prepared meals.

The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday.
