Woman, 49, arrested for DUI in Woodford, VT after crashing vehicle

Vermont State Police say they arrested 49-year-old Katherine Malone Brown of New York, NY on Friday for driving while impaired, resulting in her crashing the vehicle.

Police say around 7:34 p.m., they responded to a reported crash with an intoxicated operator on Vermont Route 9 in Woodford.

Authorities say they made contact with Brown and discovered multiple indicators of impairment.

It was determined that Brown operated a vehicle under the influence, said police.

She was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and taken to Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.

Police say Brown was released and issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court Bennington on March 17 at 8:30 a.m.
