Woman arrested after stabbing in Albany

Albany Police arrested a woman who's accused of stabbing a man early Saturday morning.
Albany Police responded to a home on Western Avenue near the intersection of Cortland Place Saturday for a report of a stabbing.
Police responded to the scene around 3:45 a.m. Saturday and found a 28-year-old male who had been stabbed in his arm.
The victim was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and was then transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Albany Police arrested 31-year-old Xioma Farez of Albany at the scene. Farez is facing charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Investigators believe Farez and the victim knew each other.
Farez was arraigned at the Albany City Criminal Court Saturday morning.
