The woman facing charges in connection to the death of her daughter is now out of jail.

Amber Geier was bailed out of Schenectady County Jail last night. She’s accused of killing her 24-year-old disabled daughter, Skylar Pettit. She had Down syndrome and diabetes.

Investigators say Geier simply “gave up” caring for her daughter and allowed her to die of natural causes.

Skylar’s body was found wrapped in plastic inside a home on Greenwood Avenue, months after she died.

Geier is facing manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges. She is due back in court next Thursday.
