Woman in wheelchair improving after being hit by car in Colonie

A woman in a wheelchair who was hit by a car in Colonie will likely be out of the ICU by this weekend, said police.
The crash happened last Sunday night.
Maureen Briggs was trying to cross Wolf Road, near Park Place, right near the Trader Joe’s in Colonie. She was hit by a car traveling south and was knocked out of her wheelchair.
The driver cooperated with police, investigators said. There are no charges at this time.
