Woman rescued from Troy fire leaves hospital
A woman rescued Monday by a Troy firefighter is now out of the hospital and in need of more help. Delilah Teledo is now looking for a place to stay.
Her husband, Orlando Santiago, says the fire started after his wife plugged up her phone.
With flames everywhere, Santiago says he was able to get the three kids out the home, but his wife was trapped inside the bedroom on the second floor.
Troy firefighters quickly arrived. That’s when Lt. Daniel Bornhorst tells NewsChannel 13 he climbed up the ladder and crawled through the heat and smoke to save the woman.
The good news is no one was hurt in the fire.
NewsChannel 13 has reached out to Delilah to get an update, but have not heard back just yet.
