Police in Albany are investigating a robbery that happened near Western Avenue and Sprague Place Friday night, that left a woman with a stab wound.

Police in Albany are investigating a robbery that happened near Western Avenue and Sprague Place Friday night, that left a woman with a stab wound.

Police tell Newchannel13 it happened around 7:45 Friday night. They say three people were sitting in the bus stop near Western Avenue and Sprague Place, when they were approached by two men; one of them was armed with what appeared to be a knife. Police say the men forcibly stole items from the victims, and while it was happening, a 22-year-old woman was stabbed in the back.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center, where she is expected to recover from her injuries.
