Albany County eyes Central Warehouse removal
Albany County Executive Dan McCoy said he hopes to see removal of the Central Warehouse starting in the fall.
Work to remove the Central Warehouse, an eyesore in Albany, could get going this fall.
Albany County Executive Dan McCoy told NewsChannel 13 that they are looking to remove the asbestos and hopefully blow the building up, like when the county constructed the Albany Capital Center.
Collaboration with Amtrak officials is necessary due to the proximity of a nearby rail line, McCoy said. He expressed hope that the cost of demolition will be reduced.
