There are reports of a recent wild animal attack in Amsterdam.

People who live near Veteran’s Park Field and Second Avenue should be alert, according to the Montgomery County Department of Health.

A small, aggressive animal bit someone in the city, the department said. They believe the animal is a fox or small coyote.

The Department of Health said it’s important to get treated immediately if you are bitten, in case of rabies. They also advised people to stay away from wild animals.
