A Pittsfield student is taking legal action against the district and English teacher Robert Barsanti.

According to the lawsuit, Barsanti is accused of making sexual comments against the female student and other female students on several occasion.

The student claimed Barsanti asked the student to go into a janitor closet with him.

In a separate incident the teacher alleged told the class he used to work at a strip club and instructed them to write a story.

He allegedly forced them to do research and showed pictures to the class.

The lawsuit says Pittsfield High School principle told the student’s mother they knew about Barsanti’s sexual harassments as they have received several complaints in the past.
