Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reminds people to lock cars

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people to lock their cars after an increase in thefts.

People should not leave valuable items like wallets, electronics or bags in their vehicle, or at least keep them out of sight, investigators said.

They should also park their vehicles in well-lit busy areas.

People are advised to report any suspicious activity to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 518-853-5500.
