LEXINGTON, Ky. – A paralyzed domestic violence victim is determined to walk her daughter down the aisle for her big day on November 12.
With every step, April Ballentine gets stronger. She’s been working since July with a device called an exoskeleton.
She’s learning to walk again after she was paralyzed in 2013. Her ex-boyfriend shot her five times.
Since that awful day, she has been determined to stay strong, proving life can continue after a spinal injury – after domestic violence.
